Included in this eBay listing is a 155 Mbtuh fire tube, high efficiency, stainless steel Velocity/Crown Raptor NG boiler (field convertible to LP).

 

The stainless steel, gas-fired Raptor is Velocity’s first fire tube design for natural or LP gas offering superior efficiency and performance with a 95% AFUE. The boiler is available in five sizes – 85, 110, 155, 205, and 270 MBH.  The Raptor offers home heating and optional domestic hot water built on world-class engineering.

     When shopping for a boiler an often overlooked aspect is the future serviceability of the unit. Most people focus on the initial cost and get confused by the lower cost, cast aluminum, copper or brand propriety heat exchangers in other brands. Crown Boiler as been producing boilers for over 49 years and their boilers are built with non-propriety components, which dramatically increase the serviceability of the unit. They also ensure that their boilers are energy efficient—the Raptor boiler model is 95% efficient. 

 

A boiler is a gas appliance.  It requires venting and a gas connection.  We do not eliminate the need for licensed installation. On-site installation is expensive and often a large portion of the expense is time on-site due to the need to study the installation manual.

 

***Most Plumbers are unfamiliar with the piping details of boiler installation, so you need to have them check your local Code for what safety components must be installed in the boiler piping. This means that code required safety components are often not installed.  For this reason we always include the links to useful information.
